Dogs are a part of the family, and we want to give them the best care possible when they're injured or ill. But there's never a good time for an unexpected bill, and vet costs can be thousands of dollars if something serious happens to your dog. Dog insurance is the simple, low-cost way to make sure you can afford whatever treatment your dog needs.
Dog Insurance in brief
With our flexible cover options such as Accidental Injury Protect and Comprehensive Protect, we offer dog insurance for any budget. Whether you want low-cost accident cover for a clumsy puppy, or full-scale protection against whatever the future brings, our plans are the affordable way to protect your dog.
Our dog insurance policies cover up to 75% of your vet bills, with an Annual Benefit Limit of up to $10,000 or $15,000 depending on the type of plan you choose. There's no excess payable when you make a claim and if you add our Routine Care option to Accidental Injury & Illness cover, you will be able to get Annual Benefits for certain preventative healthcare treatments, such as your dog's annual vaccinations.
The premiums you pay for your pet insurance will depend on the type and breed, age and health of your pet. You can make extra savings on your premium by reducing your Annual Benefit Limit. You'll even receive a 5% discount for each additional pet you insure with us.
Dogs must be under 9 years of age when you first apply to qualify for our Accidental Injury & Illness cover.
Once insured, we will continue to offer to insure your dog for the rest of its life as long as cover is renewed each year. You'll get cover for chronic or recurring conditions within the Chronic Condition Limit provided the cover is renewed each year.
Both our dog insurance options have a 21 day cooling off period, so if you change your mind you can cancel your policy and get a full refund, provided you haven't made a claim.
We all hate to see our pets suffer, but having an expensive vet bill at such short notice can cause severe financial strain. Our flexible cover options help you provide great care for your beloved dog and protect yourself against stressful veterinary bills.
Our range of cover options lets you choose the right policy for your family. If you have more than one dog (or dogs and cats) you can save with our multi-pet discount and you can vary your benefit limits to make your insurance even cheaper.
Lots of common dog injuries can involve operations resulting in expensive vet bills. With our Accidental Injury cover there is an Annual Benefit Limit of up to $10,000 if your pet is accidentally injured – and there's no waiting period for Accidental Injury cover except for cruciate ligament injuries.
There have been major advances in veterinary care and treatment options over recent years, with specialised procedures and emergency surgery becoming available. With our flexible cover options, we can help with the cost of providing treatment to your pet.
We'll cover up to 75% of your eligible vet bills, with additional Annual Benefit of $500 towards emergency boarding for your dog if you have to be hospitalised for some reason. And if you want the very highest level of cover, you can add our Routine Care option and get $70 annual benefits towards one of the preventative treatments like de-sexing and vaccinations.
